Paul Cruz, Career Agent - Independence, OH

Paul Cruz has been a Farmers Agent since December, 16th 2008. Paul resides in Olmsted Falls, Ohio with his wife Heather and his two children Hannah and Gabriel. He is an active member of the Hispanic Business Association and the Rotary Club of North Ridgeville. Paul took the opportunity to complete his reserve training while working full time at his previous place of employment.

Paul came to Farmers as an experienced salesman and speaks fluent Spanish. He received an associate degree from the University of Findley and went on to get his bachelor's in Organizational Business Management from Kent State University. He spent the next eight years in the mortgage business before deciding it was time for a career change.

After looking at all the insurance companies and researching all his options, Paul said “Farmers had the best opportunities.” Paul loved that Farmers offered the “Family Rights Provision.” He said “most insurance companies do not offer this kind of thing,” and that is why he chose Farmers.

Paul has consistently ranked among the top agents in the state for Life Production and was the 2nd Agent in Ohio to obtain the Crystal Blue Vase Life Production Award. He was also elected by his peers to be a representative member of the district’s Agent Council, which acts as a liaison between the agents and District Management.

Paul’s goals in the next five years are “to be one of the top agents in Ohio,” and achieve 1,000 policies within his first 18 months. Paul’s marketing plan is heavily invested in community involvement and he attributes his success to hard work and relationships he has built over the last year. He said, “It really was a group effort; it was not just me. Farmers is a great support system and has so many resources.” Paul has a promising future with Farmers and wants to “build a legacy for his family.”
