Profile Of Success
As a Center Manager, I enjoy helping my agents succeed and take great pride when
they reach their goals. If you become one of our agents, one of my jobs will be
to help train and guide you in mastering business techniques designed to help you
and your agency succeed, branching out from within our center environment. During
my time with the Farmers Career Center, I have had the pleasure of helping many
agents reach their goals, and develop their businesses into profitable agencies.
At this time, it is my pleasure to introduce to you one of the successful agents
in my district.
Paul Cruz, Career Agent - Independence , OH
Paul Cruz has been a Farmers Agent since December, 16th 2008. Paul resides in Olmsted
Falls, Ohio with his wife Heather and his two children Hannah and Gabriel. He is
an active member of the Hispanic Business Association and the Rotary Club of North
Ridgeville. Paul took the opportunity to complete his reserve training while working
full time at his previous place of employment.
Paul came to Farmers as an experienced salesman and speaks fluent Spanish. He received
an associate degree from the University of Findley and went on to get his bachelor's
in Organizational Business Management from Kent State University. He spent the next
eight years in the mortgage business before deciding it was time for a career change.
After looking at all the insurance companies and researching all his options, Paul
said “Farmers had the best opportunities.” Paul loved that Farmers offered the “Family
Rights Provision.” He said “most insurance companies do not offer this kind of thing,”
and that is why he chose Farmers.
Paul has consistently ranked among the top agents in the state for Life Production
and was the 2nd Agent in Ohio to obtain the Crystal Blue Vase Life Production Award.
He was also elected by his peers to be a representative member of the district’s
Agent Council, which acts as a liaison between the agents and District Management.
David Kalavsky, Center Performance Manager, said “Paul is a good representation
of what Farmers is looking for. He is passionate about his work, goes above and
beyond his production goals, and is a family man. Paul’s positive attitude will
carry him very far in this business.”
Paul’s goals in the next five years are “to be one of the top agents in Ohio,” and
achieve 1,000 policies within his first 18 months. Paul’s marketing plan is heavily
invested in community involvement and he attributes his success to hard work and
relationships he has built over the last year. He said, “It really was a group effort;
it was not just me. Farmers is a great support system and has so many resources.”
Paul has a promising future with Farmers and wants to “build a legacy for his family.”
